Frequently Asked Questions
How do you know how big of a system I need by just an average electric bill?
Pretty simple IF you put in an accurate electric bill we can get pretty close. We take the AVG kwh rate divided by your avg bill= avg kwh We then multiply that number by 12 (for 12 months in the year). Then we multiply that by our transparent 1.8 ppw in Texas and pass the savings to you!
Why does it show a 6% inflation rate on your electric bill
3% for inflation $ being worth 3% less and electricity costing 3% more
Solar doesnt have inflation?
Why no inflation rate? Because you are locked into a rate that doesn’t fluctuate with the economy.
So I’ll never receive an electric bill again?
That’s what tom the door to door guy will tell you. But that is False you will always receive an electric bill. If you look at your bill with all those other charges besides your electricity charges, you’ll see a meter charge. That will always stay the same and probably keep rising as rates rise.
Will this actually raise my property value?
Take the amount of money a solar array saves you on utility bills over the course of a year—say $600 as a general example—and multiply it by 20—so $12,000 hypothetically speaking. That’s about how much your home value increases when you buy a solar energy system.
So, if you wanted to move, you would get a higher resale value, plus you could sell your home without having to find someone willing to take over lease payments.
What happens when I need a new roof?
Insurance will cover the cost of detaching an resetting your solar panels.
What is PPW?
Price Per Watt is how solar companies charge for a system.
Most companies avg 2.2ppw and that’s not adding on the salesperson commission.
